【Booking Information】
Here is the English translation for the ""Miscellaneous,""Refund Policy," and "Terms & Conditions" sections. I’ve maintained a professional yet firm tone to ensure the legal and safety requirements are clear.
I. "Inclusions"
Includes 2 nights of accommodation, 2 days of breakfast, and 2 days of dinner.
II. "Exclusions"
Transportation costs (to/from the gathering point).
Lunch for all 3 days.
Trail mix/snacks (to be provided by the participant).
Any other items not explicitly mentioned in the "Inclusions" list.
III. Miscellaneous
Contract Validity: The travel contract becomes effective once the deposit is paid. Our company will prepay hotels, restaurants, and other vendors according to their requirements. If you cancel for personal reasons, charges will be applied based on the "Standard Form Contract for Domestic/Overseas Travel" or actual costs incurred; any remaining balance will be refunded.
Price Adjustments: Total fees are subject to adjustment in the event of significant fluctuations in exchange rates or accommodation costs. Final costs will be confirmed before the final payment is collected.
Rooming: Quotes are based on double occupancy (two people per room). Solo travelers must pay a single room supplement. If we successfully pair you with a roommate of the same gender, this supplement will be waived.
Single Rooms: A "Single for Single use" room is smaller than a double room. It is not a double room for one person. Requests for "Double for Single use" will be priced differently.
Child Policy: Per local regulations, children must share a room with an adult and are required to have their own bed.
Room Requests: We cannot guarantee specific floors, connecting rooms, or adjacent rooms for groups. We will submit your requests to the hotel, but fulfillment depends on the hotel's availability.
IV. Refund Policy
Cancellations: Refunds for withdrawals after payment are processed in accordance with the "Standard Form Contract for Domestic/Overseas Travel."
Voluntary Withdrawal: If you are unable to complete the itinerary due to personal reasons (e.g., psychological/physical factors, insufficient stamina, severe seasickness, fear of water, or inadequate gear), the leader reserves the right to terminate your participation for the safety and schedule of the group. In such cases, the unused portion of the trip is considered forfeited without refund. Any derivative costs (transportation, meals, lodging, etc.) must be borne by the participant.
Terms & Conditions (Important Notice)
Our expeditions involve long-distance sea kayaking and wilderness exploration, requiring high levels of professionalism and environmental awareness. Please read the following carefully:
Preparation: Please review the itinerary and required gear list thoroughly. Complete your registration only after fully understanding and agreeing to the contents.
Inherent Risk: Sea kayaking in open waters involves potential risks, including injury or death. Participants must be in good health. Those with pre-existing conditions (e.g., asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure, pregnancy) or those physically unable to complete the journey independently should not register. If you insist on participating, you must obtain medical clearance and inform the leader during registration.
Safety First: The itinerary may be adjusted due to "Force Majeure" (strong winds, large waves, lightning, current changes, or poor visibility). The company reserves the right to change routes, landing points, or abort the voyage to ensure safety.
Team Unity: The leader’s primary responsibility is the safety of the group. If a member’s life is at risk, the "Life Safety" of the injured party becomes the absolute priority. The entire team will move together (advance or retreat) accordingly; no objections will be permitted.
Minimum Group Size: If the minimum number of participants is not met by the deadline, the trip will be cancelled. All fees will be refunded without interest, or you may choose to transfer to a later date.
Insurance: Each participant is covered by a NT$ 5 million Travel Liability Insurance and NT$ 200,000 Accidental Medical Insurance (maximum NT$ 2.5 million for those under 15).
Note: Insurance only covers "sudden, external accidents." It typically does not cover internal illnesses (cardiovascular issues, epilepsy), heat exhaustion, dehydration, or severe seasickness. We strongly recommend purchasing additional personal Travel Insurance that includes emergency rescue services.
Conduct: Follow the leader’s instructions at all times. Do not wander off. Participants assume full responsibility for any injury or legal consequences resulting from negligence or unauthorized actions.
Health Reporting: Immediately report any physical discomfort to the leader during the trip.
Registration Information
Pre-booking: Registration is based on a pre-booking system. For activities requiring qualification screening, no payment is required during the initial data collection. Payment is only requested after approval.
Deposit: A 20% deposit of the total tour fee is required to secure your booking. Registration is only considered successful once the deposit is received.
